Peter Talbot will this evening present an account of his adventure to Antarctica. Peter generously gives of his time with these presentations in support of the charity 'Prostate Cancer UK'

Fame and Ashanti Freddie Waters - We welcome back Freddie, this time he is to give us his update/continuation of this fascinating true story.   An excellent account of the grounding and amazing recovery of these two destroyers H.M. Fame and H.M. Ashanti at Whitburn Steele, Sunderland in October 1940. The presentation was followed by some questions and answers.

"A Brief History of the Co-operative Movement" By Bill Saunders   A very interesting and entertaining evening. Bill has certainly researched his subject very well indeed and his pictorial portrayal of this well-known institution was superb. His presentation was enjoyed by all. - JKA

George Wade a founding member of the Tyne Area Shipping Club back in 1974 served for many years as Club Secretary and is still a very active member of the club. We are very pleased that George has agreed to share with us this evening memories of his full and interesting life.
